We are proud to introduce Europe’s newest (yet historic) luxury train, the Danube Express. As the very first train to offer understated luxury, modern comforts and traditional service along the scenic routes of Central and Eastern Europe, the Danube Express is changing the way we experience travel in this part of the world. Finally, a train that makes getting there just as much fun as being there.

The carriages of the Danube Express were originally built for the ruling elite of Hungary’s government in the 1950’s but redesigned with today’s comforts, giving the train a sense of history that has previously been unavailable. Onboard the train, deluxe compartments offer two lower berths and have private ensuite bathrooms with showers.

Passengers will enjoy the excitement of boarding in exotic Istanbul and waking up to the beauty of a Bulgarian landscape. Imagine being lulled to sleep by the rhythm of the train as you travel through the Bohemian countryside.
