The Renaissance of Elegant Travel to Eastern Europe and Russia

Eastern Europe Through Closed Doors

Extending Your Visit

The Herend Experience
Arrive into Budapest a day before the group and set off on full day excursion to Herend. The world-famous Herend Porcelain Workshop is located in a small town in the Hungarian countryside, about a two-hour drive from Budapest and not far from Lake Balaton.

Once at the Herend workshop, you will be invited inside for an in-depth tour of the facility- including the workshops where the porcelain is made and a brief visit to the porcelain museum: an antique and priceless collection of Herend dating to the founding of the factory in 1826. Your last stop at Herend will be truly unique- an afternoon gourmet luncheon served on Herend china at the workshop’s Apicius Restaurant. Herend does not sell its china to restaurants, so this is the only restaurant in the world serving on Herend.

After Prague or Vienna
We highly recommend a couple of days in Eastern Europe’s undiscovered gem: Bratislava, Slovakia- a gorgeous city of architecture, art and music.
