Touring
Days 1 through 3: Munich
Munich is one of the most picturesque cities in all of Europe. Situated at the foot of the Alps, it comes to no surprise that three out of every four Germans say they would like to live in Bavaria, especially Munich.
Commonly referred to as “the secret capital of Germany,” Munich is a city of beauty, history and most importantly, survival. Munich has suffered two world wars but as the locals say, it continues to “sparkle.”
Meals: Breakfast daily, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Days 4 and 5: Salzburg
Salzburg, Mozart’s hometown, has always been called the “city of music” and the nickname is well deserved. We will explore Mozart’s life and stroll the cobblestone streets of Old Town- so well preserved that it was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. We’ll also explore Mirabell Castle and visit the beautiful and scenic Lake District, not far from town.
Meals: Breakfast daily, 1 Lunch
Days 6 through 9: Vienna
The Hapsburg seat of power for centuries offers visitors a cultural treasure trove: the Schönbrunn, Belvedere and Hofburg Palaces, the Spanish Riding School, and Imperial Treasury are among the many unforgettable sites we will visit. We will have time to explore Vienna at leisure and be invited to make our own Viennese traditional dessert—the apple strudel.
