White Nights
Touring
Days 1 through 7: St. Petersburg
With the days and nights so alive during the White Nights, the city’s sights almost seem to have been designed for this time of year. We will see some of the most notable sights such as Catherine Palace and its famed Amber room, Peterhof Palace, and of course the Hermitage. We will also visit Pavlovsk Palace and enjoy an authentic Russian folklore lunch in the countryside. Most importantly, we will attend five performances of the White Nights Festival. Past Festivals have included the premier of the Mariinsky (Kirov) Opera’s Aida and Khovanschina, a ballet competition of graduates from the Imperial Ballet School, and a gala performance by Placido Domingo.
