Located on the shore of Lake Malaren, the Gripsholm Vardshus is Sweden's oldest inn. At Gripsholms Vardshus people have enjoyed and amused themselves since the 17th century. This 45-room inn features individually adorned rooms with furnishings of antique and contemporary designs. The Gripsholm Varshus features the best restaurant and bar in the area, 24-hour room service, and a sauna for relaxation.
Room Types
All rooms are equipped with TV, telephone, safety box, and trousers press. The bathrooms feature bathtub and floor heating. The Royal suites offer a jacuzzi tub.
Single/Double Room
All beds are dressed with thick quilts and soft down pillows.
Two-Story Room
The two-story rooms are located in the old stables of the inn. These rooms offer a lounge on the first floor and a bedroom and bathroom on the second floor.
Deluxe Room
These rooms are located on the Kavaljeren wing. These rooms feature a sofa, armchair, and French balcony overlooking the Gripsholm castle.
Victoriasviten (Junior Suite)
This lovely and charming suite is worthy of a princess. Junior suites feature a lounge, bedroom, tiled stove, and exclusive bathroom.
Tradgardssviten (Junior Suite)
This comfortable suite is located in the middle of the garden. Junior suites feature a lounge, bedroom, tiled stove, and exclusive bathroom.
Suite Gustav Vasa (Junior Suite)
This suite is known as the "royal suite with a beautiful bed". Junior suites feature a lounge, bedroom, tiled stove, and exclusive bathroom.
Suite Gustav III (Royal Suite)
This suite gives a felling of Arabian nights wtih its decor and light. Royal suites offer more room than the junior suites and feature a lounge, bedroom, and bathroom wtih a jacuzzi. Two of the royal suites offer a tiled stove in the bathroom and one suite has a magnificent open fireplace in the lounge.
Suite Karl XII
(Royal Suite)
Int his suite a felling of "masculine hunting lodge" is apparent. The big French open fireplace and high ceilings dominate the lounge.
