Rooms Hotel, Tbilisi
The design of the 140 rooms and suites of the Rooms Hotel Tbilisi was inspired by 1930s New York and Tbilisi’s old-world charm and feature handmade wallpapers, dark wood floors, leather-upholstered bedheads, local artwork, custom furniture, and vintage Georgian pieces. The rooms have views of the bustling Chovelidze Street or the garden, while those on the fifth floor have terraces.
Located in the intellectual neighborhood of Vera, the hotel design incorporates the building’s history as a publishing house into its design elements, while also honoring its cultural past with many art and music events. The restaurant’s executive chef Francesco Manalo, of the nouveau American restaurant “The Kitchen”, creates tasty weekly menus using locally sourced ingredients. The artisanal interior and open floor plan pay tribute to the cuisine served here – with only organic, seasonal ingredients. Long communal tables encourage diners to stay longer and socialize over their meals or drinks.
