Opened in 1851, Mont Cervin Palace is one of the first hotels to be built in Zermatt, making it one of the oldest in the area. Having gone through numerous renovations throughout the years has made it so that the hotel has been updated to offer all of the modern comforts and amenities. Yet with the many changes, the hotel’s signature quaint charm and hospitality have been preserved to continue to give guests the warm and familiar atmosphere that Mont Cervin Palace is known for. The property has two styles of rooms – Alpine and Chalet. The Alpine rooms are modern and elegant while the Chalet rooms feature a more classic and traditional style. All of the rooms have views of either the Matterhorn or the Zermatt Mountains.
There are a few on-site dining options. At Le Restaurant, guests are taken on a culinary adventure around the world with its themed dinners. Grill Le Cervin focuses on serving meat specialties from the grill that are accompanied by local specialties. At the Chef’s Table, the guests are the main focus, with the level of high service being just as important as the regional specialties and international delicacies that they serve. Guests may enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine at Restaurant Myoko and a taste of Mediterranean fare at the Michelin starred Ristorante Capri. The on-site bar, Joseph’s Bar and Terrace is a classy, stylish bar that offers specialty cocktails, afternoon tea, and small dishes accompanied by live music.
Mont Cervin Palace has a spa that features a fully equipped gym with personal trainer services, steam and sauna rooms, both an indoor and outdoor pool, a relaxation area, and massage and treatment rooms.
Considered a contemporary interpretation of the traditional mountain lodge, this boutique hotel is located on the side of the hill and offers fantastic views over Zermatt and the Matterhorn. The modernist lines and earthy colors throughout this 30-room property provide a spacious and airy feeling.
Some rooms have balconies overlooking the Matterhorn and offer spectacular views over the town. Some others, face the surrounding mountains on the west. All of them are bright and luminous with floor to ceiling windows.
The restaurant, recipient of a Michelin Star and managed by Lars Michel, offers a blend of traditional Swiss products with less common ingredients. The property also offers a well-equipped spa with an outdoor heated pool and whirlpool overlooking the mountains, which is perfect at the end of the day!
