This morning meet your guide and driver on the pier to explore central Amsterdam and the neighborhood of Jordaan. This is probably the most famous neighborhood in the Netherlands and was once a working-class bastion and is now a gentrified hipster neighborhood of galleries, restaurants and specialty shops. This is also where you will find some of the most scenic outdoor markets in the country. Afterwards, explore a bit more of the city including Dam Square and the 17th century Central Station building.
Continue onto Museumplein. Today’s highlight will be a visit to the Rijksmuseum. This is the largest museum in the Netherlands, featuring an astounding 1.5 kilometers of art, and showcasing many works of Dutch masters, items of the Netherlands’ cultural history: artifacts, clothing, prints and more.
