This morning your guide will meet you on the pier. Founded more than 900 years ago, the city is nestled between seven hills and bordered to the north and west by numerous islands and hairline fjords, providing a truly spectacular setting!
Today, your guide will introduce you to the charming town of Bergen. Your walk will bring you to Old Bryggen, the original settlement of Bergen. Here just ten of the original gabled houses on the harbor still stand. The Hanseatic Museum showcases a merchants’ home, providing a great example of how they lived in worked in the 1700’s.
The fish market is a few steps away and can be quite lively with locals. This is the place to sample different types of fish and meats. Try to taste the difference between wild or farmed salmon or maybe sample some reindeer sausage.
Afterwards, your guide will take you the funicular to the Fløv Mountains for a truly spectacular view overlooking the city.
