ITINERARY

Day 1
Durres | Durres

Arrival into Durres, Albania second largest city and an important port. This morning, meet your guide for a tour through the city’s most significant sites.

You will start in the city center with the Venetian tower and stroll by the old byzantine walls of the old castle. Next, you will visit to the most important site of the town, the Roman Amphitheatre built in the 2nd century BCE. Situated in the very center of the city, it can accommodate more than 1500 people. Today, a part of the arena is taken over by contemporary houses but restoration works continue.

Next your guide will take you to a newly restored archaeological park where your guide will explain the 2400 years of history of Durres.

After some free time at your leisure in the promenade of Durres, you will be transferred back to your ship
