Meet your local guide and driver on the pier for your tour of the 2000-year-old city of Koblenz. Boasting an abundance of historical monuments, the culture of the area is forged in the market squares, cozy lanes, and narrow alleyways that welcome any traveler to feel right at home.
While here, you may also wish to visit the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, the backbone of the regional fortification system which is accessible via cable car. Overlooking the city of Koblenz, the views from here are not to be missed. From the fortress, you can see the place where the Rhine River is joined by the Moselle, named Deutsches Eck (German Corner), where a memorial for Kaiser Wilhelm I stands.
Later, continue your journey through the beautiful vineyards along the Moselle Valley and enjoy a wine tasting at one of the local producers, before returning to the ship.
Note: Depending on the exact location of the ship, extra hours of vehicle and driver might be required.
