Beau Rivage, Geneva
For those that prefer to stay in family run hotels, The Beau Rivage is the oldest, and only independent family run hotel in Geneva. Opened in 1865, the hotel has 90 rooms and suites with a sumptuous décor. Some deluxe rooms have lake views, however our preferred rooms are the Prestige rooms that have panoramic views.
The guide Michelin says of Le Chat Botte, the one star hotel restaurant: ‘This picturesquely named restaurant ('Puss in Boots') serves contemporary-style cuisine with traditional roots, using culinary techniques that create harmonious flavours. The food is complemented by the expert work of the sommelier, who skilfully guides guests through the impressive wine list’.
The hotel also has an alfresco terrace La Terrace, which is open year-round for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and cocktails. In addition the hotel offers a fine dining authentic Thai restaurant – Patara.
