Copenhagen

About Copenhagen

This bustling city of Hans Christian Andersen fame is fun and full of life. Soak up local culture at one of the many outdoor cafes in Nyhaven or experience the city from the water on a canal or harbor tour. Visit the Tivoli Gardens, which inspired Walt Disney, or the fantastic Rosenberg Castle, home of the crown jewels and the summer royal residence. Witness the changing of the royal guards at the Amalienborg Palace, or drive along the coastline to see the statute of the Little Mermaid. Pop into the Staten Museum for Kunst or the Carlsberg Glyptotek, with its wealth of Danish art. Marvel at the stately homes and immaculate gardens of the Frederiksberg. Just as the locals do, consider touring on a bicycle. From here, it’s easy to take a day trip to one of the many castles dotting the Danish countryside, including the Kronborg, or to Roskilde, famous for its Viking Ship Museum.
