Amsterdam - HOTELS

Travel in style with Exeters tips

The Pulitzer Amsterdam

The Pulitzer is an intimate, privately owned hotel within a prime location in the Canal Belt. The hotel is set within twenty-five restored 17th and 18th century houses overlooking the picturesque waters of Amsterdam’s Nine Streets neighborhood, walking distance from sights like The Anne Frank House and the Royal Palace. Its 230 rooms are decorated with contemporary furniture and prints from the hotel’s extensive modern art collection. Renowned local chef Cassidy Hallman heads up The Restaurant Jansz, which spills out through a series of simply decorated rooms along the canal. Breakfast here is a magnificent spread of locally sourced products. Along with Restaurant Jansz, are the Pulitzer and Lobby bars, both offering classic cocktails and an extensive wine list.

Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam

One of our favorite hotels in the city is the Waldorf-Astoria.  It has an envious location in the heart of Amsterdam right on Herengracht.  If a room with a canal view has been your dream, this is where it will come true.  The hotel is an expert joining of 17th century canal palaces and features elegant and classic décor in its 93 rooms and suites.  The hotel’s restaurant has two Michelin stars and the same chef is also at your service in the hotel’s bistro.  You’re just a few minutes on foot from all the top sites in the city.
