The Pulitzer consists of a collection of 17th and 18th century homes set along the canal. The houses have been restored and maintain most of the façades from centuries past. Connecting the houses is a light and airy atrium, garden and dining terrace. The location, in the Nine Streets area, is famous for its boutiques and cafes. The hotel has its own two canal boats- a classic saloon boat and an open top tender boat. Every evening, hotel guests can take a cruise though the city canals. Private rentals are available as well.
The Waldorf Astoria is the finest hotel in Amsterdam and has an enviable location right on the Herengracht Canal. The hotel is decorated in period furnishings and is comprised of six 17th century canal-side mansions that were converted into one magnificent hotel. It’s just a short walk from the best museums and all the shops and restaurants.
The hotel features a two-star Michelin restaurant, Librije’s Zusje, a large Guerlain Spa with a beautiful indoor pool, Amsterdam’s largest private courtyard garden and the excellent Goldfinch Brasserie.
The hotel offers 93 rooms and suites and because of the building’s historic nature, all rooms and suites are just a bit different. Each includes sumptuous décor, complimentary WiFI and an espresso machine.
