The hotel features 81 rooms and suites with contemporary interiors in the calming color palette. Hotel Skeppsholmen is eco-labeled and a member of Design Hotels and IGLTA Hotels. Lydmar Hotel, Stockholm

The Lydmar Hotel boasts a unique combination of vibrancy, artistic individuality and a stunning location. Housed in a former archive building of the Swedish National Museum, the hotel looks out over the water to the Old Town and some rooms offer a stunning view of the Royal Palace. The corridors and suites are decorated with a rotating exhibition of work by internationally recognized photographers. The hotel is designed with a unique blend of contemporary and classic décor that avoids both cold minimalism or over the top grandeur. Each of the 46 rooms is filled with individual furniture pieces from around 80 design sources worldwide. Suites on the fourth floor have a cozy attic-like feel due to low ceilings and exposed beams. Bathrooms feature dark slate with brassware a mix of Dornbracht and more traditional designs from local brand, Mora and upgraded amenities along with bathrobes and slippers. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi. The rooms have an air cooling system. The Terrace, located on the second floor, is the perfect place to relax with a drink after a day of site-seeing, with its lush gardens and private feel.

Bank Hotel, Stockholm

The Bank Hotel is Stockholm’s newest boutique hotel.  This centrally located hotel is just steps from the waterfront and all of Stockholm’s main sites. With just 115 rooms, this hotel is decorated in typical Scandinavian style – simple yet elegant, blending the building’s history with contemporary design.  The building itself dates back to 1910 and has had many faces throughout the last 100 years, most notably as several banks.  While many of the building’s original features have been restored, the building has been beautifully reimagined into a luxury hotel.

At Six, Stockholm

At Six Hotel is perfect for those who want to be in the heart of Stockholm’s newest trend setting neighborhood.  Housed in a former bank amongst other Brutalist architectural pieces, award winning Universal Design Studio has transformed the space into a contemporary lifestyle hotel complete with a chef run restaurant, the city’s only listening lounge, a cocktail bar, and café.

All rooms have wooden floors, marble desks, worldwide adapter, and robes and slippers.  All beds are by Swedish Hilding Anders and offer a variety of pillows and luxury eco-friendly sheets. Rooms offer complimentary Wi-Fi, sparkling water, tea and coffee, and organic toiletries by c/o Gerd. The rooms offer central ventilation, where guests can set the room temperature to as low as 17 degrees Celsius.

Nobis, Stockholm

The Nobis, Stockholm’s first contemporary luxury hotel, is located in the heart of the city, just a few blocks from the harbor. The hotel offers 201 rooms that have a delicate balance between the old and new.  The hotel’s facilities include two restaurants as well as the popular Gold Bar.  Free access to the fitness center and sauna are included.  The hotel also offers an automatic check-in service as an alternative.

All rooms feature super-luxurious Dux beds and sophisticated contemporary décor.  All rooms look at the hotel’s beautiful courtyards or over the city.  Rooms all have complimentary WiFi and a multimedia system with a library of complimentary films and music.  Bathrooms are some of the best in town featuring acres of marble, rainforest showers and unique vessel sinks. Hotel guests have complimentary access to the fitness centre and sauna. The rooms have an air cooling system which goes down to 20 degrees Celsius.

King’s Garden, Stockholm

The former home of a Countess has now become a charming boutique property- The King’s Garden Hotel.  Tucked away on a quiet street just off the King’s Park, the property is situated between Old Town and the best shopping district in the city. Walking into the dining room, you will feel like you step into a French bistro, reflecting the menu’s influences. In the guest’s rooms, the design is Gustavian with hard wood floors and light wood furniture. Our favorite rooms are the King rooms, some with original working tile fireplaces.
