The territory of Lapland, covers the northern most regions of Norway, Sweden and Finland. This region is well known for sightings of the Northern lights. In Lapland, there are various accommodation options.
We are often asked when is the best time to see the Northern Lights is, and while it is never a guarantee that one will see them, the Northern Lights season in Arctic Europe is November through March. While most people are drawn to Arctic Europe with their dream of chasing the Northern Lights, the region has so much more to offer. For this reason, we encourage our guests to visit between December and March, when the snow pack is at it’s peak, the days are shorter and the possibility of seeing the lights is at their highest.
Swedish Lapland is home to some of the best winter activities in the region. From snowshoeing and hiking, to horse riding and husky safaris, the region has plenty to offer every visitor.
