Day 1- Basel
For guests arriving at Basel Airport, you will be met and transferred to the GAIA hotel in the city center.
Tonight, we will enjoy dinner at a local restaurant in Basel for all guests.

Day 2- Basel to St Moritz
Embark on a luxurious journey aboard the Prestige Continental Express private train from Basel SBB Station. Enjoy a delightful lunch as we make our way to Landquart, where we switch to the scenic Glacier & Bernina Pullman Express for a breathtaking ride to St. Moritz. Traverse the stunning Albula Pass, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with our historic RhB electric locomotive Nr 353 leading the way.

Day 3- St Moritz to Tirano
Today, we embark on a scenic journey along Switzerland’s Bernina Line to Tirano, Italy. Experience the unique Glacier & Bernina Pullman Express cars pulled by a historic ‘Crocodil’ electric locomotive Nr 182 from 1915.
Marvel at the breathtaking spiral stone viaduct at Brusio during the final stretch of the 17km trip. Explore the Valtellina Valley and indulge in a delicious lunch at Triacco Winery in Tirano before returning to St. Moritz by bus.
End your day with a traditional Swiss dinner near the stunning Morteratsch Glacier.

Day 4- St Moritz to Andermatt
Join us today on a journey from St. Moritz to Andermatt aboard the Glacier & Bernina Pullman Express. Experience the luxury of RhB’s historic Pullman train, pulled by the iconic RhB ‘Crocodil’ Nr 414 or 415, dating back to 1929.
Travel through the breathtaking Rheinschlucht Gorge, near the source of the Rhine River, and cross the Oberalp Pass to reach Andermatt, your gateway to the Furka Pass.
Upon arrival at the exclusive five-star Chedi Andermatt hotel, unwind in the lavish Spa & Wellness facilities or opt to explore the historic Sasso Da Pigna Fortress along the Gotthard Pass. Originally guarding the pass from 1943 until its transformation into the Gotthard Museum Sasso in 2012, this site offers a fascinating glimpse into Switzerland’s history.

Day 5- Furka Mountain Pass
Today, we embark on a breathtaking journey through the stunning Furka Pass, home to the iconic Furka Cogwheel Steam Railway. Experience a ride on a century-old steam locomotive as it takes you 740m up to the summit at 2,160 metres above sea level. After lunch at Hotel Castle Blitzingen in Gletsch, join the luxurious Glacier Express (First Class) to Zermatt, where the majestic Matterhorn awaits.

Day 6- Zermatt, Gornergratt & The Matterhorn
Spend the morning at your leisure in picturesque Zermatt before embarking on an exciting journey on the Gornergrat Railway. Travel to a height of 3,135 meters for breathtaking views of the Matterhorn and surrounding peaks over 4,000 meters. Enjoy a delicious raclette dinner at Al Bosco Restaurant, Riffelalp Resort at 2,222 meters before heading back to Zermatt.

Day 7- Bern to Grinelwald
Today we start a scenic journey, starting with the Glacier Express from Zermatt and switching to the Prestige Continental Express in Brig. Enjoy lunch while crossing the Lötschberg Pass before exploring Bern on a guided tour, including a ride on a historic steam tram.
Continue your adventure on the Prestige Continental Express to Interlaken, followed by a short bus ride to our charming hotel in Grindelwald. Settle in at Hotel Bergwelt for five nights of alpine relaxation and exploration.

Day 8: Reichenbach Falls
Next up is Interlaken and an unforgettable adventure in the stunning Jungfrau alpine region of Switzerland!
Today, choose between two exciting itineraries. One group will embark on a private steam train journey to Meiringen and Innertkirchen. Experience the breathtaking Aareschlucht Gorge, ride the funicular to Reichenbach Falls (famous from Sherlock Holmes), and explore the Sherlock Holmes Museum in Meiringen before heading back to Interlaken.
Alternatively, join a more relaxed day trip from Innertkirchen to Reichenbach Falls via funicular. Visit the Sherlock Holmes Museum and enjoy free time in Meiringen before returning to Interlaken.

Day 9: Schynige Platte Alpine Garden
Spend the morning at leisure exploring Grindelwald or relaxing at the hotel before embarking on a scenic steam train journey to Schynige Platte Bahn Rack Railway. Visit the Botanical Alpine Garden for a truly enchanting experience.

Day 10- Jungraujoch
We start our unforgettable journey to the Top of Europe on the Eiger Express tri-cable gondola in just 15 minutes. Experience breathtaking views as we transfer to the iconic ‘Jungfraubahn’ for the final ascent to Jungfraujoch at 3,454 metres above sea level. Explore the Glacier Plateau, Sphinx Observation Deck, and Ice Palace at the summit.
After a late lunch at Kleine Scheidegg, we descend back down to Grindelwald on the Jungfraubahn.

Day 11- Brienz Rothorn Steam Rack Railway
Embark on a nostalgic journey aboard the Brienzer Rothorn Steam Rack Railway in Brienz, a charming lakeside town renowned for its wood carving. This historic railway, built in 1892, is the fourth highest in Switzerland, reaching a height of 2,244 metres in just 7.6kms. Experience breathtaking panoramic views as the steam train winds through alpine meadows and forests with Lake Brienz below.
After a lakeside lunch, enjoy a scenic cruise back to Interlaken on the iconic 1914 paddle steamer SS Lötschberg.

Day 12- Gotthard Pass to Lake Maggiore
Today we depart on a scenic journey aboard the Prestige Continental Express from Interlaken, crossing the stunning Gotthard Pass with its iconic spiral loops, bridges, and tunnels. Arrive in Chiasso near the Italian border.
Next, transfer to Lake Maggiore in Italy for a relaxing boat cruise in the afternoon followed by a delightful dinner in the evening. Enjoy the best of both Swiss and Italian landscapes on this unforgettable excursion.

Day 13- Pilatus Kulm
Embark on a thrilling journey from Chiasso to Lucerne aboard the Prestige Continental Express, then switch to a narrow gauge train to Alpnachstad. Experience the exhilarating Pilatus Bahn, the world’s steepest rack railway, with breathtaking views on the way to Pilatus Kulm in just 30 minutes.
After descending from the peak, indulge in a luxurious gala dinner on board the Prestige Continental Express as we head back to Zurich Flughafen Station. Our hotel is conveniently connected to the airport terminal for a seamless transition.
For those heading to Basel, accommodations are available at the GAIA Hotel near Basel SBB station.
