Avan Dzoraget Hotel

Avan Dzoraget Hotel

Situated 100 miles north of Yerevan, the Avan Dzoraget hotel is midway between the capitals of Armenia and Georgia and makes for a convenient overnight stop when touring both countries. It sits along the Debed River, nestled among the forested hills and rocky slopes of the Caucasus Mountains. The hotel's exterior of basalt stone evokes the historical romance of medieval Armenian castles. The Avan Dzoraget Restaurant serves Armenian and Georgian cuisine and guests can enjoy dinner on the open terrace overlooking the Debed River.

The Avan Dzoraget Hotel has 26 guest rooms, 6 Suites and 2 Presidential Suites in the main building and another 20 Junior and Tower suites and Duplexes in the new building. The spacious lounge areas and bedrooms offer handcrafted décor and finest amenities. Room furnishings include bedside tables and desks crafted from iron and local basalt, walnut cupboards, walk-in closets with wrought-iron hangers, and beds with wrought-iron headboards. The basalt and wood floors throughout the hotel are covered with hand-woven Tufenkian carpets and the guest room bathrooms are lined with basalt and feature shower stalls with glass enclosures.
